Every brand has a beginning. Ours started with a mother's love — and a longing for it.

In 2018, I founded Anak & I — "Child & I" — during one of the most tender and uncertain chapters of my life. I found myself drawn to creating something meaningful: clothing that celebrated the quiet, precious moments between a parent and child. Moments I was hoping for. Moments I wanted to hold onto, even before they arrived.

What began as a deeply personal project grew into a community of families who understood that love, in all its forms, deserves to be dressed beautifully.

In late 2022, we became The Cotton Tale — a playful nod to the cottontail bunny, and a promise to tell a tale with every piece we make. Look closely at our prints and you'll find our bunny there, sometimes front and centre, sometimes waiting to be discovered. She's become our storyteller — joined each year by our signature gold pineapple.

Today, we design for families everywhere: smooth, cooling fabrics that feel gentle on skin, in matching sets that run from newborn all the way to adult — with something for the family pet, too. Thoughtfully made, minimally designed, and built to be lived in, washed, and handed down.

Because the moments we share matter — and so do the ones still to come.
